During the Carnival are days without work with full nights of revelry from sunset to sunrise. On the second day of Carnival the floral game is made, where the Mazatlan prize is presented to the best literary work published in Mexico during the year preceding the festival, this award has gone beyond borders being received internationally. In this celebration is also the coronation of the queen of floral games accompanied by a great staging that shows some legend of the state. To this added great artistic performances where you can get to listen to the classic Mariachi, as well as a concert with world-class artists.
The night of the third day of Carnival gives way to the awarding of the carnival queen presenting the various girls who represent the beauty of Mazatlan accompanied by a Latin music artist or group. After the coronation a traditional ritual is performed in the carnival of Mazatlan "the burning of bad mood" which consists of lighting fireworks to a giant puppet that sometimes represents the figure of some unpopular character that can be some famous artist or some national and international politics. This act gives way to a night full of fireworks in the dramatization of naval defense against the French invasion in 1864.
The fourth day of carnival brings with it the first parade that advances to the north along the boardwalk from the fisherman's monument with various allegorical floats full of party that motivate the entire boardwalk to celebrate until late at night.
At the closing there is a second parade that now goes south of the city from the historic center that far from being a night of sadness is the day of most party where it ends until sunrise.
